Animoca, a Hong Kong-based software and venture capital company founded in 2014, develops NFT blockchain games. The company closed a funding round in January at a value of US $5 billion led by libert city ventures with Georg.
Cofounder Yat Siu envisions the company challenging the dominance of big tech firms like Meta Animoca. He is also an investor in the NFT platform OpenSea and decentralized autonomous organization Yield Guild Games.
The state fund doesn’t invest in cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency backed by the US government. The US $2 trillion in digital assets has been wiped out since November.
