Binance's AI-powered NFT generator hits 10000 mints in 2.5 hours

Binance’s AI-powered non-fungible token (NFT) generator, Bicasso, hit its cap just five hours after its launch on March 1st. The first pilot of Bicasso produced 10,000 NFTs in just two minutes, while the second pilot finished in 5 hours and 40 minutes. The tool allows users to upload a profile picture for the AI to work on, or they can provide creative prompts that generate a custom image.

During the limited beta, initial data showed that 9,909 owners created at least one NFT using the tool. However, some of the pilot photos are not available for sale. Binance’s AI NFT generator lets users create an NFT by either uploading an image or typing in a creative prompt. The generated images can be stored as NFTs on Binance’s native BNB chain.

The latest NFT from the platform, Icasso AI #10445, was released just an hour ago. Generative art, a new archetype in the art world that originated in part using an autonomous system, has gained popularity in recent years. The renowned auction house Christie’s even auctioned off an NFT made with a computer algorithm for $440,000. Binance’s foray into AI-powered NFTs is the latest development in this rapidly growing market.
