Jesse Leonard, a doodle artist, won the New Zealand Red Bull National Doodle Art competition, beating 20 other competitors. Leonard, who has been creating comics since he was a child, hopes that this win will open up opportunities in the illustration industry.
As the New Zealand representative, he will attend the Red Bull Doodle Art World final in Amsterdam where he will work with Burnt Toast, the lead designer and co-founder of a renowned NFT collection, to create a new doodle that will be showcased alongside his original piece as an NFT digital art piece. The winners will receive all profits made from the NFTs. The final will include top doodlers from 60 countries worldwide and will be held from May 25 to May 28.
