Ubisoft took the step of delisting their Ubisoft Quartz announcement video from YouTube. It was done after the video reached 22,000 dislikes on the platform.
A news website reported the incident as they spotted a huge difference between the likes and dislikes on the video. The ratio was in the negative direction, with the estimates showing 4% people liking the video and 95% displaying their dislike for it.
While Ubisoft knew that the announcement can be controversial, they still didn’t expect such a negative response from the audience. Removing the video was a huge step and would have caused a disturbance in the company.
Sooner or later, NFTs will make their way into the videogames because of the promising future set by play-to-earn.
