It’s been one year since Facebook changed its name to Meta.
Company has been rapidly developing its Metaverse. It launched Horizon Worlds – a virtual reality game – in December of 2021. In April, there were rumors of a Meta-specific digital currency with no further reports.
Come September 2022, Meta applied for 5 trademarks related to digital assets on Meta. Meta also announced its collaboration with Microsoft to develop different products to combine both Meta’s and Microsoft’s visions.
In the same period, Meta started losing its share value. Stock prices are down by 23% in the third quarter, which is alarming for the future of Meta itself.
