Digital Entertainment Asset (DEA), the operator of the PlayMining GameFi platform, has partnered with Greenway Grid Global (GGG). They will develop a Play-to-Earn (P2E) NFT game that rewards players for inspecting and patrolling public facilities and infrastructure in underserved areas of Asia. The game, which uses NFTs, will incorporate an ‘Electric Power Asset’ NFT collection launched by GGG and Tokyo Electric Power Grid Co. (TEPCO PG) and incentivizes real-world actions that create value for society. DEA’s P2E NFT games, including JobTribes and Lucky Farmer, reward players with DEAPcoin tokens through play, which can be traded on popular exchanges or sold directly back to DEA.

DEA aims to promote social good in Southeast Asia, a region where P2E gaming is popular as a means of earning supplemental income, and is taking steps to support charitable and social good projects. The company has partnered with Yield Guild Games Southeast Asia (YGG SEA) to onboard the PlayMining game catalog to YGG SEA’s platform, supporting “scholarship” for new players to borrow NFTs to get started in P2E gaming. DEA reported that over 9,300 JobTribes “scholars” earned over US$4.7 million since December 2021, with some covering their entire monthly living expenses through their earnings.
